Who doesn't love the wild west? Here's a wanted poster of one of my older characters. Below is the painting (Charles Marion Russell, A Bad Hoss) I referenced for my color scheme.
Sometimes I just need to make something for no reason at all. Final week of the quarter. Pretty much done with all my stuff. Blockhead Animation Festival coming up.
Some close-ups. Wow. This is one of the biggest paintings I've ever done. 47 layers total, the pirate and girl were sketched out and the rest done up in Photoshop. All based off of the song "Dude Whats A Land Pirate?" by The Wonder Years. Don't take a pirate to prom.

An ethics assignment. My only goal was to spark some conversation about medical malpractice lawsuits, I don't know enough about the issue to take a stance. Happy with the painting though. :)
Working on incorporating more texture into my painting. For this one I set the original sketch to multiply and worked on painting underneath it. I think it gave it a little more oomf.
Top three images were my Digital Imaging final. We were required to texture, light and model an environment. (Emphasis on the texture and lighting.) I chose a kindergarten classroom!
How do I fit all the good feelings and camp memories of many years into a five minute short for my writing for animation class? And how do I transform this into a story that will strike a cord with people that have experienced it themselves and still appeal to a wide range of audiences at the same time?
