Part 1/5 of my final for History and Trends of Animation.

UPA

A school project. 

Redesign a character in UPA style. I got an A. :)

I chose the beast because of his detailed design; I thought it would be interesting to deconstruct. And any Disney character is the exact opposite of a stylized UPA character, lol. I thought it would be a challenge. Even now I think I added too much detail... 

He has a much more modern look than I wanted though, I could probably see him in some cartoon on Nick these days.

I'm happy with him.

Oh, and no house for us. I'm going to pick up the pieces of my broken heart now and go learn how to mix drinks at the Minnesota School of Bartending.

3 Days Till Payday

Countdown until Wednesday. I can't wait until my next check.

Lots of things have happened since my last post. 

I've applied for the house. Supposed to get back to us within 7 to 10 days. I'm crossing my fingers. Having my own room for once, it sounds so nice. 

I'm now enrolled in bartending school! Should be interesting. I've got a lot of drink recipes to memorize now.

I'm also sleeping on my mattress on the floor in  my roommate Bailey's room. For my own sanity really. I feel like I'm catering when I really shouldn't have to, but its for the best. I shouldn't have to deal with it for too much longer.

Hello Life. You are kinda stressful.

Ok, maybe not that stressful. I'm just a whiner I think. Anyway. My weekend was filled with work. Which is good. I need the money. But still, it was The Gap and of course this weekend was incredibly busy because of some promotion we had. Ick. I'm super excited to see my next check though. I need the money bad. Planning on going to bartending school and that'll cost me. (But eventually pay off in the end I guess. Big tips?)

I'm also very tired of all the roommate drama that I've experienced over the past week. Someone giving someone else a bloody nose! OH NOES. (I'm lame.)

Because of that our living situation is changing. Its only a matter of time before things get better.

I'm also considering moving into a house with a friend. I'm supposed to decide by Friday... I don't really know what to do. I haven't seen the place yet so I really have no idea. Whateves. If this doesn't work out then I guess I'm just back to where I was before. No real plan at all. Next year should be interesting. Probably just get a studio apartment or something.

Meh. Just take it as it comes I guess.

Its snowing! ...not staying on the ground, but whatever, its still snowing. I'm heading back to Duluth for the weekend too. Been needing a break from the big city.
